| History of the North
Shore Roundup. The first North Shore Roundup was organized by a group of North Shore, North and West Vancouver, AA members, in early sobriety, at a "meeting after the meeting", the coffee shop. It was decided that a "roundup" was needed between the BC/Yukon Convention in November and the Victoria Rally at Easter. The first NSR was held in a tiny church hall at 6th and Mahon in North Vancouver in February, 1972. After the first couple of roundups Al-Anon was invited to the festivities, having added much to the convention over the years. The first year main speaker at the Roundup was Cec C. from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Cec C was also the second year main speaker, filling in at the last moment, due to a cancellation. There have been many wonderful AA and Al-Anon speakers since that first small gathering. |

 With the similar logo as '83 we found an '84 ticket, a rare find as most past North Shore Roundup's have been sold out on the Friday evening. Make sure you get your ticket early to avoid disappointment. |
 Public Information Luncheon has been held in the past on Friday for Professionals (Clergy, Doctors, Lawyers, Judges, Police Officers, etc.) to inform them of the services and functions of Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon. |
